Frequently asked questions
Here at The Canine Resort, we have plenty of beds and blankets to go around at no additional charge. Just request one at check-in. So please leave your dog's bedding and blankets at home and leave the washing to us. One toy is allowed if your pup is not a chewer, but please leave the raw hides at home, as they are a choking hazard.
If your pup is boarding with us or attending daycare, they will need current Rabies and Bordetella shots administered by a licensed Veterinarian.
You can have your Veterinarian office email their current shots to us or bring in proof of current vaccinations upon arrival.
Yes, please bring their own food pre-portioned for each day. This will help ensure your pups dietary needs remain constant.
If your dog happens to run out during their stay they will be fed using our dog food at a cost of $5 per day.
Daycare is not included with boarding, but daycare can be added to your dog's boarding package for an additional $15 per day. Please remember, they must be spayed or neutered and pass a temperament test.
They sure can. We often recommend dogs who are from the same household and that are used to being together, stay in the same dog run. We do suggest separating dogs who have extreme weight differences, such as a Lab and a Chihuahua for example.
We have highly trained staff members who are proficient in giving all types of medications that include oral pills and even daily insulin shots. Please let us know at check-in if your dog has any medication requirements.
Our minimum age for boarding and daycare is 12 weeks.
Any booking cancelled prior to 48 hours of their check-in day will not incur a cancellation charge. If you cancel less than 48 hours of their check-in date, the first night will be charged for each pet.
Not all of our guests like the company of other dogs and we completely understand that. Boarding dogs will never co-mingle during their stay, so don't worry if your dog is uneasy around other dogs.
